A 27-year old man here underwent a first-of-its-kind Gastric Sleeve Surgery at a private hospital here to get rid of his morbid obesity and has lost about 70 kgs in three months.
The surgery also called Sleeve Gastrectomy is a simple procedure that adopts technique free of side effects like malabsorptionetc as opposed to a Gastric Bypass Procedure, Dr Tom Babu, who led the surgery said.
Oneal Sabu, who is a lawyer by profession, weighed 178 kgs and had to go through lot of physical and mental issues due to his abnormal weight.
