Dejected by father's objection to love affair with Finn, youth goes incommunicado, but cops trace him to isolated beach
On a visit to India, Tanvir Pal Singh Oberoi, an NRI from Canada, went missing from Gokarna with a mystery Finnish woman. He surfaced from an isolated beach in the coastal part of the state after the police lodged a massive manhunt.

From Trivandrum, Oberoi called his father Agya Pal Oberoi and informed him about his love affair with Sandra.
His father strongly objected to it.
After spending two days in Trivandrum, the duo proceeded to Gokarna, which is a sacred place for Hindus. It also has a beach called Om beach, which is popular among foreigners.
Dejected by his father's objection, Tanvir went off to an isolated place. On February 1, Tanvir sent a message to his father that read: "I want to live in Gokarna for some days."
Just an hour after sending the message his cell phone was switched off. His father could not trace him in Gokarna or anywhere else.

The next day Tanvir' father called one of his friends, who works in Sea Bird Naval base, Karwar, to trace his son, who in turn filed a missing complaint at the Gokarna police station.
The police swung into action and circulated some of Tanvir's photographs throughout the state, seeking help from their counterparts in other districts.
While Tanvir has now been found, the police refused to divulge any details.
Sandra has not yet been found.
Karwar Additional Superintendent of Police VB Goankar even claimed that he was unaware of such an incident.
