Salman Khan firing case: IP address of post claiming responsibility traced

Salman Khan firing case: It was on April 14th when two unidentified men opened fire in front of Salman Khan’s Mumbai house. Since then, the entire Khan family has been in a state of shock. Today, in the morning news broke out that police have arrested two suspects. The duo was arrested within 48 hours of the incident from Gujarat's Bhuj early on Tuesday morning. Now, another update related to the incident is coming out. It has been said that the crime branch has traced the IP address through which the post was made on Facebook that claimed responsibility for the attack. Hours after the gunshot incident happened, a post claiming responsibility surfaced on the internet. The social media post, written in Hindi, reads, "We want peace. If the only decision against oppression is war, then so be it. Salman Khan, we have only shown you a trailer so that you understand our strength and do not test it. This is the first and last warning. After this, bullets will not be fired outside the house only. I do not have a habit of talking too much," the post read. Now, PTI has reported that the police have managed to trace the IP address of the post. The IP (Internet Protocol) address of the FB post was traced to Portugal, and the police were verifying it, a senior official said on Monday. Police suspect a VPN (virtual private network) was used for uploading the Facebook post, allegedly by Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi on Sunday, he said. A VPN establishes a digital connection between a computer and a remote server owned by a VPN provider, creating a point-to-point tunnel that encrypts personal data, masks IP addresses, and allows the user to sidestep website blocks and firewalls on the Internet. Meanwhile, reacting to the incident, Salman Khan's brother and actor Arbaaz Khan stated that the particular "disturbing" incident has affected the family. He also shared that the family is fully cooperating with the Mumbai Police in investigating the matter.           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Arbaaz Khan (@arbaazkhanofficial) (Inputs from PTI)

When Lara Dutta said no amount of worry prepares one for motherhood

Actress and former Miss Universe Lara Dutta celebrates her birthday on April 16. Over the years, Lara has worked in films like ‘Partner’, ‘Kaal’, ‘Andaaz’, ‘Bell Bottom’, and ‘Blue’ to name a few. She married tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi in 2011 and is a mother to daughter Saira.  While Lara is back to films and continues to balance her role as a mother as well as an actor, she once said that no amount of worry prepares one for motherhood.  "You spend many sleepless nights even before the child is born, figuring out whether you'll be a good mother, be able to live up to everything that's expected. But no amount of worry is going to prepare you when the child is born," she told PTI. "Each child goes through its own phases as well. One point of time they are the best-behaved child and then they are the opposite. The day you decide to become a parent, you're signing up for one of the greatest adventures of life which doesn't stop ever," added Lara.  The actor said motherhood gave her a lot more clarity even in terms of how she views her career. "When you have this little person in your life, your priorities change. When it comes to work, if it's a certain amount of time I am assigning myself away from family, I really need to weigh in. I love doing things for myself and would never put myself as the last person I'd look after." Opening up about her journey as a mother, she told IANS, "For me, there's a lot that's learned by trial and error. I genuinely believe that a child teaches you more than you will teach it. "The best thing that you can actually teach or the best way that you can teach your child is by your own behaviour and what you do. So no matter what textbooks you have, what great talks about the child (you have), at the end of the day, if you don't practice what you preach, your child is never going to follow it. So I think for me. It's a huge responsibility, but it's a job that I work at very hard on a daily basis and it never ends," she added. On the work front, Lara will be seen in 'Welcome To The Jungle', 'Suryast', and 'Ramayana'.  (With inputs from Agencies)

Vidya Balan. Pic/Instagram

Vidya Balan: ‘Enough of pointless maar dhaad, diabolical people!’

Sometimes, you just want to sink into your seat with a popcorn tub, and watch a feel-good movie. Vidya Balan says Do Aur Do Pyaar is that movie. At a time when the industry is churning out action fare on the big screen and dark thrillers on OTT, rom-coms have been few and far between. “This is a genre I’ve missed,” starts the actor, who, with Pratik Gandhi, leads director Shirsha Guha Thakurta’s rom-com. “I was wondering why people aren’t making such films anymore. I am so bored with the content around me. There is too much action. When the film came to me, I loved the idea. I watched the original, The Lovers [2017]. Shirsha gave our film a new direction and Supratim Sengupta wrote the script, playing it differently [from the original]. This film makes me laugh and fills my heart. I wanted to go on a long drive, listening to music with Siddharth [Roy Kapur, husband]. Enough of pointless maar dhaad and diabolical people! I want to be in movies where I am enjoying, and so are my audiences.” Do Aur Do Pyaar sees Balan and Gandhi play a long-married couple, who are happy in their extra-marital relationships until they find themselves falling for each other again. Balan’s Kavya as a woman with agency struck a chord with her. “Kavya and her partner have an equal marriage. I related to the fact that she is stubborn and angry; she is not apologetic about her affair. Her predicament was funny, but I played it with a hint of curiosity. She is scared, confused and stuck.” Often, female characters in Hindi cinema are one-toned. Rebellious parts are becoming predictable, too. Balan, who has built a 19-year career on fascinating characters, from The Dirty Picture (2011) to Kahaani (2012) and Sherni (2022), says we need to delve deeper into a woman’s complexities. “In films, there is either the bitch or the bechari, but I’ve never done films [with such black-and-white parts]. Women-led cinema is in a nascent stage here. Ishqiya [2010] was an aberration for its times. It has been 14 years, but the grammar is still being formed. It will get formed, broken, and reformed. It’s time to reimagine the women we are writing. I think more films are expanding the idea of a badass woman now. Even with women-led cinema, it’s important we take ourselves less seriously. Crew was fun and not necessarily nuanced, but we had a good time. That’s enough at times.”
