An incident of a road accident involving an oil tanker happened on Wednesday morning after which traffic had to be diverted on the Eastern Express Highway

An incident of a road accident involving an oil tanker happened on Wednesday morning after which traffic had to be diverted on the Eastern Express Highway.


The incident happened at 6.30 am on Wednesday morning when an oil tanker ran into a divider on the Navghar bridge of Eastern Express Highway and turned sideways. The oil spill was cleared by the Mumbai fire brigade with the help of water from the tankers.


The bridge was then cleared for traffic. Two people have been reported dead in the incident. Their bodies have been taken to Rajawadi hospital. No other injury has been reported.
