Mumbai: Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Uttarakhand underlined their supremacy over Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), Chennai by posting a convincing 70-52 win in the men’s final of the UPL 9th Savio Cup All-India basketball tournament, sponsored by Tridhaatu Realty and Indian Oil and organised by the Don Bosco Recreation Centre.
Trideep Rai top scored for ONGC with 22 points, while Yadwinder Singh scored 19 and Vishesh Bhriguvanshi netted 13 points. ONGC were richer by Rs 1.25 lakh, while IOB received a cash prize of Rs 65,000. In the women’s final, Southern Railway beat Maharashtra 67-62.
