Suhail Tatari was a witness to the Oscars blooper - at an Andheri multiplex yesterday. The director of Ankur Arora Murder Case (2013) wanted to catch a late night screening of Academy Award-winning movie Moonlight, but the theatre ended up playing another film.

“I got in a few minutes late, so I couldn’t see the name of the film. Once the credits started rolling, we realised it was not the film we came to watch. Two minutes into it, people started getting shifty and called out to the authorities. It was hilarious because it seemed like a repeat of the Oscar boo-boo. This usually never happens,” says Suhail.

Apparently, the screening went on for a few minutes before the authorities stopped it and played the right film. Theatre authorities said, “Sometimes, bloopers happen. And Moonlight toh hai hi late bloomer.”
