Golfer Rory McIlroy's former girlfriend Holly Sweeney has praised his fiancee Erica Stoll and wished the couple well ahead of their April 21 wedding.

Holly has said that finds the World No. 2 golfer's fiancée lovely. Sweeney (26) and McIlroy (27) split in 2011 after being together for six years. Later, McIlroy's childhood sweetheart married ice hockey player Jeff Mason (35) and the couple have a three-year-old son, Max.

"I wish him well with his big day. She (Erica) is lovely. I've met her a couple times, she's really dead on," Sweeny told the Irish Independent newspaper.
