It was double trouble for over 50 passengers travelling from Katraj to Yerwada in PMPML bus route number 24, yesterday afternoon.
While a 60-year-old vegetable vendor, Bhagwan Dende, lost his wallet containing Rs 8,000, others had to bear with the ordeal of being looked upon with suspicion and that of being stranded in the scorching heat about 7 km away from their destination.u00a0

After waiting for a long time, the conductor made a provisional arrangement for passengers. “As the bus was on contract, we had to get it repaired from a private mechanic at Katraj,” the conductor said.u00a0Rahul, Dande’s son, said, “Ours was a double loss, as we lost our money and my father could not get back home on time.”u00a0
