Padma Lakshmi married novelist Salman Rushdie on April 17, 2004 after living together for three years. However, on July 2, 2007, the couple filed for divorce. Padma Lakshmi has one daughter, Krishna Thea Lakshmi-Dell, with venture capitalist Adam Dell, brother of Michael Dell.
