HIV positive children paint their heartfelt desires and dreams on canvas to raise money for the cause

The art project was an initiative by children's boutique L'orange, which collaborated with Mamta Foundation to give kids a fun day, where they could paint whatever they liked on canvas. The art class was held for kids between the age group of four to fourteen years and was helmed by Pune-based artist Priya Patkar.
Talking about the initiative Ritu Thomas, Marketing manager of L'orange said, "We wanted to celebrate Children's Day a little differently, which is why we collaborated with Mamta Foundation so that the kids would have a fun day at the end of which they would also gain something. The kids had a great time and what was even more fun was that had never painted on canvas before. For almost three to four hours, the ambience of the place was totally different."
The paintings made by these children will now be put up for sale, the proceeds of which will go to the welfare of the HIV positive kids at the Foundation. The sale is on till December 18. The proprietor of L'orange and interior designer, Roheena Nagpal felt that the idea behind the initiative was to be able to contribute to the welfare of the kids in some way or the other and the best way was to include them in the entire process.
