Fed up of the state education department's inability to resolve the fee hike issue at Rosary School, students' parents will go on a hunger strike from today.
A representative of the students' association said about 25 parents will go on a hunger strike outside the office of the deputy director of Education Board, Pune.
"We have been against the fee hike for 45 days. They promise action and yet say they have no authority to do so," said Pankaj Pawar of the school's parents' association.
"The school continues to harass our kids. They are even humiliated publicly," alleged Nilesh Mahajan, another parent.
Sunil Magar, deputy director of education board, said that their decision would be announced today.
Rosary School authorities said they were firm on their decision and the hunger strike would not change it.
