The 47-year-old actor and his wife Jillian's home has been turned into a bunker with livestock, a rain shower and sustainable garden, reported a magazine.
"Patrick's estate is jaw dropping. He's got a functioning mini-farm with a huge vegetable garden, over 60 chickens, a fish pond and a pet donkey he's become very attached to.
Patrick and Jill have earmarked their place as 'the apocalypse safe house'," a source said. Dempsey also owns a chain of coffee shops, Seattle based Tully's Coffee, and he previously said he has considered adding a certain controversial ingredient to the menu.
"Coffee is good for your mind - it's basically a legalised drug. The next step is selling marijuana, of course. There's a business model there. You could present it in a beautiful, elegant way: a Michelin-starred coffee shop where you can get marijuana," he had said.
