In another example of how fandom goes to extreme, Akshay Kumar, a fan of Telegu film star Pawan Kalyan stabbed a NTR Jr's fan to death after an altercation over the star status of the two actors.

The deceased was identified as Vinod Royal who was a die-hard fan of Pawan Kalyan and the incident occurred in Kolar, Karnataka.

The initial fight happened, on Wednesday, when a 24-year-old Vinod, an active member of Pawan' Kalyan's political party 'Jana Sena', shouted slogans in support of Pawan Kalyan during an organ donation drive. The argument on who is a better actor angered the other sides
After the event got over, both sides of fans went to a bar where the argument resurfaced which is when Akshay Kumar stabbed Vinod Royal. Vinod was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on admission.
Telegu superstar Pawan Kalyan met the victim's family in Tirupati and consoled his fan Vinod's relatives.
