The Bombay Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is hosting an annual fundraiser, The Woofs and Hoofs Carnival
For over 140 years, the Bai Sakarbai Dinshaw Petit Hospital for Animals at Parel has been treating thousands of animals and birds. The hospital is in need of refurbishment, and to aid this, The Bombay Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BSPCA) in association with The Royal Western India Turf Club (Second Enclosure) is hosting The Woofs and Hoofs Carnival.
BSPCA plans to make this an annual event and has associated itself with organisations such as PETA, WSD, IDA, TSPCA, PAWS, the Corbett foundation and SOS. Though one isn’t allowed to bring their pets to this event, it hopes to offer wholesome fun for the rest of the family.
One can shop from NGO stalls, buy T-shirts with chikan embroidery for children by the brand Asya. Ekta Chawla will also be showcasing her Mama and Baby polos, t-shirt dresses and more. One can also shop for lifestyle products by Home Collective, Soap Opera and Mandalay while indulging in food at different food stalls. There will also be fun arts and crafts activities, puppet shows, maze and photo booths for kids.
