Peon held for raping 2 minor disabled girls

Cops have arrested a peon working with the centre for welfare of physically challenged girls in Narayangaon for allegedly raping two disabled minor girls inside the boarding school.

The incident came to light after the two kids broke their silence and narrated the incident to their parents three days back, when they were being taken home for the summer holidays.


The arrested accusedu00a0has been identified as Mahadeo Asraji Borade (45). Cops suspect Borade may have had aides and further investigation into the incident is in progress.


“Both the victims, who were staying and studying in the school on the same premises, were repeatedly raped by the accused. He also warned them not to speak about this to anyone. However, the girls broke their silence when their parents came to the centre to take them home for vacations. We have come to know that other people are involved in the case and their role will also surface soon,” said Pune (rural) SP Manoj Kumar Lohiya.


The accused has been arrested under section 376 (rape) and relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
