A petiton is filed in the Bombay High Court against Shiv Sena's Shiv Vada Pav stalls claiming that all the 250 stalls/carts operating in the city are illegal and don't have any permissions from Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM).

The Shiv Vada Pav stalls don't have any permission from any departments or any license under section 394 of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act 1888 says the petiton filed by Janseva Mandal, an NGO of Ghatkopar.

The petitioner further says that in the name of providing employment to 'sons of the soil', such illegal practices should not beentertained. A Special Investigation Team should be formed to investigate all the people involved in the misdoings and collecting funds for Shiv Vada Pav stalls.

The petitioner further demands that all stalls should be removed immediately as they all are encroaching footpaths without any permissions in the city.

The petitioner has made BMC and collector respondents in the petition which is likely to be heard by the Bombay High Court next week
