New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for his week-long official visit to Ireland and United States early on Wednesday morning here. "Leaving for Ireland, where I will hold delegation level talks with Mr. Enda Kenny, Taoiseach of Ireland & interact with Indian community.

After Ireland, will travel to New York City," The Prime Minister tweeted before his departure. Prime Minister Modi will arrive at Irish capital Dublin before noon and after a day's engagements, he will leave for New York.


His visit to Ireland will be awaited keenly by the Indian diaspora there as it will be the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister's after a gap of almost 60 years. Prime Minister Modi will meet President Obama on 28th of September ahead of the UN General Assembly.
