Riteish Deshmukh turned producer with the Marathi film Balak Palak. The film which deals with curiosity about sex among adolescents has won accolades on the festival circuit. Even though Balak Palak is yet to release, the actor-turned-filmmaker has already begun working on his next Marathi production.
Says a source, “Riteish is in talks with Dombivali Fast director Nishikant Kamat for his next project which revolves around a politician. It will be announced soon.” The source further says, “The film is based on the life of a popular leader from Maharashtra.” Being the son of the late Congress politican Vilasrao Deshmukh, politics is a familiar territory for him.
