The show will mark the comeback of Poonam Dhillon on the small screen. Poonam had first featured in a television show titled 'Kittie Party' and was last seen in the third season of TV reality show 'Bigg Boss'.u00a0

The actress will now be portraying the role of a Gujarati mother-in-law in 'Ek Nayi Pehchaan'. It is loosely based on the concept and storyline of Bollywood's acclaimed film 'English Vinglish', while it's also the story of self-awakening and self-respect.
