Commonwealth Games (CWG) gold-medallist Krishna Poonia sealed a berth at the 2012 London Olympics after winning gold in the women's discus throw event of the Fling Throw Meet in USA on Saturday.

In her first outing after she hurt her knee last year post CWG held in Delhi last year, Poonia impressed with a throw of 61.12 meters. This is not only her best effort of the season but also better than the 2012 London Olympics qualification 'B' standard of 59.50m.
