Curtain's up on Prateik's best friend Sancho, the dog!
There’s something about Prateik that very few people know. The actor is a big dog lover.u00a0His aunt Amita Patil Deshmukh has an English Mastiff called Sancho at her home in New Delhi. As she is based in the US, the pet is taken care of by the caretaker of her home at Vasant Kunj.

Prateik who is extremely fond of Sancho makes it a point to visit him as often as possible. The actor was in New Delhi recently to receive an award. While in the capital he spent most of his time with Sancho.
Says a source, “Prateik is so fond of Sancho that whenever possible he comes down to Delhi to be with him. The house has a huge lawn where he plays with him like a kid. The Mastiff is a particularly large dog and needs regular exercise to discourage slothful behaviour; so Prateik loves to run around with him.
Prateik had a pet dog at his Bandra home that died a few years ago. He had also adopted two stray dogs when he was in school. Adds the source, “Prateik is keen on opening a shelter for stray dogs. He is working towards making it a reality and prefers to talk about it when it actually takes shape.” u00a0
