Priyanka Chopra, who is making her mark in Hollywood, does not want to be labelled as a Bollywood celebrity.
The actress feels by saying Bollywood — when it is not an offshoot of Hollywood, but the Indian film industry that produces numerous films every year — it's using a word that encapsulates a stereotype of what we are.
PeeCee wonders why it is not done with any other country. In an interview she has stated, "We don't say, Spanish celebrity Penelope Cruz or Italian star Sophia Loren. So why make it a defining point for me? I'm trying to be global and trying to push us, as a society, to becoming colour blind." Point noted.
