"No one fits the bill better than Priyanka Chopra with her strong feminine presence. With a combination of vulnerability and head-strong nature, Priyanka would portray Mehrunisa perfectly," Sinha said said in a statement.
He launched the book recently, and is currently busy with the production of his women-centric drama “Gulaab Gang”, which stars Madhuri Dixit in the lead role.
The book follows a 96-hour journey of Mehrunisa, an Indian female Sherlock Holmes. It is a hunt through the world's most dangerous terrain in order to retrieve the precious diamond - Kohinoor.
Someshwar would love to turn her books into the film.
"Looking at the current set of Bollywood actors, Priyanka comes closest to my perception of Mehrunisa, and I would love to make this series of books into a movie one day," said the author, an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
Her first book in the Mehrunisa series was titled “The Taj Conspiracy”.
