The actress arranged a quiet get-together at her home on the occasion of her mom's birthday
It was Priyanka Chopra’s mother Madhu’s first birthday without her husband on Sunday. And according to sources, PC had arranged for a quiet get-together at her residence, inviting some of her mother’s good friends and her aunts over for dinner.

Insiders say that Madhu had been feeling low ever since her husband passed away recently. And PC wanted to make her mom feel better on her special day. A source says, “Priyanka called up few of her friends, her relatives and some of Madhu’s buddies for a quiet dinner at the Chopra residence on Saturday night. PC is trying hard to cope up with Dr Ashok Chopra’s demise but she is putting up a brave front at home.”
A guest who was present at the party says how the actress almost burst out crying during the meal. She says, “Priyanka tried very hard to control her tears. It was quite courageous of her to get back to work so soon after her dad’s death. Uncle always wanted her to stand strong through difficult times and that’s exactly what she has been doing.”u00a0
