"Save The Children has been working in Ladakh for over 40 years but we have not seen a natural calamity of this magnitude," says Sharif Bhat, Save the Children programme manager, who is also from Ladakh. "The team in Ladakh is working in extremely difficult circumstances as they also have to cope with missing family members, colleagues and friends. The families of our colleagues are still taking refuge in the mountains or in the local mosque for fear of more flooding."
