South African prosecutors said Sunday they will seek an adjournment at Paralympic star Oscar Pistorius's June court appearance to complete their investigations into the Valentine's Day killing of his girlfriend.
“We anticipate that all that is mandatory to complete the investigations shall be wrapped up by or before August,” the prosecuting authority said in a statement.
The Paralympian is due to appear before a Pretoria court on June 4 next, but the prosecutors said the hearing was expected to last just 10 minutes and it would be a “mere postponement for further investigations”.u00a0
