South Africa will take on the Black Caps in the last match of the T20 series here today
The series is now perfectly poised after Martin Guptill’s single-handed resurrection of New Zealand in the second T20 international at Buffalo Park. In the first match at Durban, New Zealand were beaten by 8 wickets. South African captain Faf du Plessis now faces the embarrassing prospect of a series loss at home to a side who were until now considered minnows in the game.

Meanwhile, Guptill revealed that a few words of advice from axed skipper Ross Taylor helped him score the century against the Proteas.
Guptill, who missed the first match of the series due to an upset stomach, said, “I hadn’t been feeling great in the nets before this innings but I was talking to a couple of people back home... my girlfriend and Ross Taylor. He told me to relax and take it one ball at the time and I just did that and got through to the end.”
