Proud, but lot of work left: Clarke

Australia have regained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in just ten-and-a-half days. But, captain Michael Clarke said his team was not satisfied despite leading by a 3-0 series scoreline.u00a0 "For me, personally, there is no such thing as a dead rubber. We haven't achieved much at this stage. We should be very proud, don't get me wrong, to have beaten the No 2-ranked Test team in the world in this series. But we've got a lot of work to do before we'll be satisfied," he said.

No 1 goal
"Our goal is to be the No 1 team in the world and we aren't there yet. We've got a lot of work still to do and that starts in Adelaide," Clarke added.

Australia registered a second successive innings victory against India. Clarke revealed he had made a pact with his bowlers to ensure that the batsmen don't bat again. "To be able to get such a good batting order out again and take 20 wickets I think they deserve a lot of credit.

We made a pact yesterday (Saturday) that our bowlers should not have to send our batters back out on that wicket in this second innings. That's very pleasing that we were able to stick to our word today.

We continue to show more consistency as a team, which is very pleasing. Our execution of our skills in all three facets of the game is getting more consistent. It's a reward for the hard work we've been putting in behind the scenes," he said.

Clarke said his team would enjoy the nine-day break before the fourth Test. "Two-and-a-half-day Test matches help, that's for sure," he joked. "I believe that's probably saved a few of us to be honest. I'd imagine they (the fast bowlers) will be very fresh again and looking forward to playing that Test match," he said.
