Working couples look to reputed creches, don't trust servants
KEEPING children in creches may not be an easy option for many working professionals. But, juggling between work pressure and domestic responsibilities, creches become indispensable act for many young couples.

"Leaving a child in the custody of a servant is fraught with risk. The fear of your child being physically or mentally abused haunts you consistently. So, the only option is to leave the child in a reputed creche," said Sonali Joshi, who works with a software company in Hinjewadi.
Girish Kulkarni, who came from Bangalore said, "When I was in Bangalore, I never worried about my child. Now both, me and my wife, ensure that our little daughter is in safe hands during our office hours."
This demand have opened new business avenue for people for taking care of children. A number of creches have come up in the recent past.
Corporate trainer and management consultant, Prashant Brahmane, also runs a creche called Making the most of Childhood. The day-care centre in Viman Nagar is appropriate for working professionals.
The centre claims to maintain the child's daily record in a diary. The centre is operative for nearly 14 to 15 hours a day. Unlike other creches, where television sets play a pacifier and force children to sit at one place.
This creche discourages TV sets and makes the children play games from handball, basketball or squash.
Durga Moghe, a media professional, thoughtfully decided to keep her one-and-half-year-old son in this day care centre with a view to provide more opportunities for socializing.

"They maintain an account of your child's activities at the center, including their feeds. This minimises my worries because I am little relieved about my child's feeding cycles being taken care off," he said.
Brahmane, who is author of five books, including Making the Best of Your Childhood, said, "We have identified 15 processes of child development like know yourself, social communication, family communication, self leadership and according to that we create positive atmosphere to nurture the child."
