Batala: A 45-year-old truck driver has been arrested for allegedly raping his minor daughter, police said today.
Surinder Pal Singh, a truck driver and a resident of Chhota Ranger Nagal village here has been arrested on the charges of raping his 16-year-old daughter, they said.

A case under section 376 of the IPC has been registered against the accused on account of the complaint filed by his wife who alleged that her husband had been raping their daughter for the last two years, police said.
As per the complainant, Singh threatened the victim of dire consequences if she disclosed about the incident to anyone, they added.
The medical examination of the girl was conducted at a civil hospital here today, police said.
