India's ace shutter PV Sindhu, who won a silver medal in the Rio Olympics two months ago, is ready for another challenge at the Denmark Open that will begin from October 18.

The 21-year-old assured that in spite of added responsibilities, now that the nation is expecting her to carry on with the winning momentum, she would give her 100 per cent at the tournament. “Responsibilities are always going to be high from now on. Everybody’s eyes are going to be on me. It’s just that I shouldn’t be under pressure and play my natural game. I will have to just go to the court and give my 100 percent,” Sindhu said on the sidelines of an event, where she along with National Coach Pulella Gopichand launched energy drink Ojasvita Malt at the Press Club yesterday.

Sindhu, who lost to Spain’s Carolina Marin 21-19, 12-21, 15-21 in the Rio Olympics final, will depart for the Denmark Open today. Life has certainly changed after the Rio achievement.

“It changed a lot after the Olympics. I am very happy with my silver medal-winning performance. It has given me a lot of confidence. Now I have to just practice and prepare for the Denmark Open and French Open,” Sindhu added.

When asked to comment about Indian gymnast Dipa Karmakar returning her valuable BMW car which she received from Indian icon Sachin Tendulkar, Sindhu said, “Driving the car is not a problem for me. But for her (Dipa) the roads in (Agartala) are difficult for her to drive and that’s why she returned the car.”
