As part of the Women's Day celebration, 94.3 Radio One gave eight such lucky women to break free and set sail with Aquasail, India's premier leisure boating company.
All the women needed to do was participate in the contest 'SAILebrate Women's Day' on Radio One and land themselves a chance to sail along with the Radio One MJs Prachi, Yamini, Meetu and Gya.
The day dedicated to women with u00e9lan and attitude started off at the Gateway where the women were ferried in speedboats to yachts.
The session started off with an interactive briefing on sailboats and their operations. This was followed by a practical introduction to sailing and a small race between the yachts.
A small meeting among the participants on women's empowerment was conducted by Zia Hajeebhoy, director, Aquasail and MJ Prachi.
