We recently heard singer/songwriter Raghav Meattle's Better Than It All, and we must say we are hooked. This now Mumbai-based, Delhi boy seems to have it all. A soulful husky voice? Check. Lyrics that make you think of that lover you just can't get over? Check. A face you would love as your next eye candy? Check. Meattle, who was also one of the semi-finalists on The Stage 2, charms us with his simple melody, that's got you asking for more. If this song is any indication of what is to come, we could have a bonafide John Mayer in the making. As we hum along, 'I'm not waiting for some phonecall', we can't help but wait for the next single.

A Tinder horror
Jo Nesbo's latest Harry Hole thriller, The Thirst, is out and we have devoured it. The Norwegian author lives up to tradition and delivers a tight novel with a mystery that unfolds around scary Tinder dates. It will leave you with a lesson or two about personal safety. With several murders and shady characters — there are at least four we were suspicious of till the right end — this is something you ought to pick up on a rainy weekend and curl up a freshly brewed cup of tea.
Say no to pre-mix
Last week, to soothe our nerves frayed by a work week, we stopped at Juhu's Grandmama's Cafe and ordered a kulhad masala chai. However, we forgot to add that we didn't want sugar in it. However, when we did mention this for the next cup, we were told that's impossible. Even for, say, a regular masala chai. Why? Because the cafe uses a premix powder that comes with sugar. A cafe using a pre-mix powder? Kind of pointless ain't it?

A new malt week hopes to dispel the snobbery around the drink and bring some of the famous single malts in the world to the city. Organised by All Things Nice, the event will be held from June 29 to July 6, where 13 restaurants will create a set of events for malt whisky lovers. From a Peated Malt Tasting at Hakkasan to a Taste of Scotland at Oliver Bar and Kitchen, malt whisky aficionados have lot to look forward to and learn.

Soak in some history
