At Zuri's Incanto, Go for the apple martini, the creamy risotto and the pomegranate ice cream

When the opportunity came up to dine at Incanto, Zuri's Italian restaurant, I anticipated a meal of creamy risotto, perfectly cooked pasta and zesty salads. Did the meal live up to my expectations? Read on...u00a0
My apple martini was superb, and nothing, not even the margarita, the shooter or the rose wine after that, could match up.

Never a big fan of salads or anything remotely green, I surprised myself by feasting on the crisp lettuce, cabbage and radish salad that had chunks of goat cheese.

This was followed by Bistecca Di Agnello Al Romarino lamb steak with rosemary sauce was almost charred, which made it a rather hard slab of meat.

Now for the much-awaited risotto. Mine hadu00a0 Italian aroborio rice cooked with wild mushrooms sauted with shallots in white wine, and chicken by special request. One spoon and I knew which dish was the winner.u00a0

Desserts included cheesecake, tortoni a frozen cream dessert usually flavoured with liqeur and topped with almonds and cherries, and ice-cream. The pomegranate ice-cream was light and a true delight.u00a0 Italians love good food and great wine. And Incanto has got it just right.
