Suresh Raina, who has been picked as Shikhar Dhawan’s replacement, also figured in the XII. Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and pacer Ashok Dinda have been left out.

It is learnt that Cheteshwar Pujara, who opened in place of the injured Dhawan in the second innings of the third Test in Mohali, will partner Murali Vijay here while Rahane will play as a middle-order batsman.

Dhawan fractured his finger while fielding in Mohali. He will be treated in Australia and will miss the initial part of next month’s Indian Premier League which kicks off in Kolkata on April 3.

Rahane has an average of 62.04 in first-class cricket. Since making his one-day debut against England in 2011, Rahane has played 16 ODI innings, scored 404 runs, and averaged 25.25 at a strike rate of 72.67. He has been in the Test squad since last year.
