This week's meal pass winner couldn't stop wondering why Rahim's Mughal Durbar looked so much like the famed Karim
"I think I have come to Karim. The menu and du00e9cor are a mirror image. See, even the door-keeper has dressed up ditto," observed Vikas Mathur as he settled down for his complimentary meal atu00a0 Rahim's Mughal Durbar in Vasant Kunj. Yes, there's a connection, we enlightened him, that of a typical family division. What followed was nothing less than a close critical examination, thankfully, not of family matters, but of the food.

While deciphering the menu, the most obvious popped upu00a0what would prove the best bet? The failure to reach any convincing answer led to the next obvious question, which was put to the anxiously waiting waiter.
"So, what would you advise?" asked our guest. Galauti Kebab, Chicken Chabli and Mutton Nahari along with roti were his recommendations, followed by Vikas' nod in affirmation. "I like the taste, but somehow, it's too traditional to be relished. On a scale of five, I would give three to the preparation," said the 28-year-old Malviya Nagar resident with an expert-like smile. Since the preparations were heavy, no sweets and beverages were ordered.

Then came the revision of his verdict. "I have been reading restaurant reviews in MiD DAY for a long time now. Little did I know that I will be invited one day," he said. "I would like to propose a change in my previous ratings. Instead of three, I would give the restaurant two on five," he signed off.
