Rahul Gandhi’s padyatra affected motorists who faced traffic jams on the arterial roads in suburban Mumbai.
As thousands of Congress workers participated in the Bandra-Dharavi march, there were traffic jams on the Bandra-Santacruz stretch of SV Road where traffic police had halted traffic. Western Express Highway also witnessed traffic jams between Mahim and Khar.

I saw couple of ambulances stuck in traffic. The traffic department should have kept one lane reserved for emergency services like the police, ambulance and fire brigade. — Suhail Faaroq
Because of the padyatra, the 60-feet road in Dharavi was also closed for more than two hours and the traffic towards BKC from Sion and coming towards Sion hospital was stopped by cops. Many people were stuck in traffic for over 2 hours. It was only after 2.45 pm that 60-feet road was opened for traffic.
