In nine hours (from 9 am to 5 pm) yesterday Pune receivedabout 48.08 mm of rainfall.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) officials said light showers were expected in the next 48 hours.


Lake levels rise
The officials from state irrigation department said the catchment areas too received a good amount of rainfall following which water levels in the four dams went up by a TMC.


Incidents of tree collapse were reported from 15 different locations in the city. Heavy traffic jams were reported from Bajirao Road, Fergusson College Road, Jungli Maharaj Road, Laxmi Road, Tilak Road, Senapati Bapat Road, Ahmadnagar Road, old Mumbai-Pune highway, Raja Bahadur Mill Road, Karve Road, Pashan, Baner , swargate and Aundh areas of the city.u00a0
