The All India Wine Producers Association (AIWPA), in association with the Indian Grape Processing Board (IGPB), is hosting the India Grape Harvest wine festival.

The main aim behind the festival is to encourage sustainable development of the Indian wine industry. It will thereby help growers, marketers and bench marking procedures.

As part of the event, there will be workshops and seminars on various topics such as Indian grapes, wine selection, tasting techniques, wine and food paring, cooking in wine, wine and health, etc. with information on the industry. Chef Parag Kanare will also be cooking some dishes that use wine as an ingredient.

Abhay Kevdakar, director, of the Indian Grape Processing Board, said, “The wine industry is growing every year. 30-40 boutique wineries with more than 200 brands, from across India, will participate in this festival. The event will be visited by eminent personalities, celebrities, importers, distributors, foreign embassies and farmers. One can buy grapes of all types here which will come directly from the farms.”

The three-day festival will also be packed with entertainment activities such as grape stomping, musical nights, bonfires, Folk music and a carnival. Adventure enthusiasts can look forward to stunt shows, hot air balloon rides, gliding, helicopter rides, open jeep tour and more.

For those looking for luxury, you can indulge in vino therapy at the wine spa.
