The actor refuses to shave head for the promotional videos of his forthcoming film

Rajat Kapoor won't go bald

Looks like Rajat Kapoor is rather fond of his hair. After agreeing to go bald for a film back in 2009, the actor is in no mood to get his head shaved again for the promotional videos for the same project. Reason being that he is already busy preparing for his other forthcoming films and cannot afford to take time off to grow his hair back again.

Rajat has said a firm no to director Saurabh Shukla who is naturally going through a tough time convincing the actor. The film that was made three years ago was stuck for a while but is now all set to hit the theatres. So naturally, the filmmaker wants to get going with its promotions. In this romantic comedy, Rajat plays a 42-year-old bald writer who falls for a 22-year-old girl.

Producer Ravindra Singh says, “We were thinking of shooting a nice thematic peppy number to use in our promotions. Rajat is our protagonist and there’s no point shooting the video without him. But he has his schedule packed and does not wish to go bald again. We are still persuading Saurabh to convince him and hoping for the best.”

During the shoot of the film, it was Saurabh who goaded Rajat to shave off his head. But as of now, it’s almost impossible for the actor to oblige since his schedule of other films and theatre work has been planned much in advance. Also, Rajat went bald for three months for the film’s sake and had dedicated all the time to the project at hand while rescheduling his other commitments.

“I am travelling with my play right now and then there are a few other film commitments too. Going bald at this juncture is very difficult since there are specific looks required for my future projects as well as my play,” adds Rajat.
