Rajesh will play an important role in the Takshashila sequence and says his role will be as important as Chanakya, which is played by actor Manoj Joshi. Rajesh also wants Ashoka (Siddharth Nigam) to defeat Keechak (Sudhanshu Pandey) and end his tyranny and establish Dharma in the once prosperous city of Takshashila.
"My character Devavrath would be like what Chanakya was to Chandragupta. He would be a mentor to Ashoka. It is very exciting to be a part of a series which is very popular among the viewers," Rajesh said in a statement.
"I am glad to work with Colors again and I feel lucky that the channel always offers me strong roles," he added.
