Singh referred to Modi as a “popular chief minister” at beginning of his speech.
“Narendra Modi has come back to power in Gujarat for the third consecutive term. Every BJP worker and leader in the state was happy when he won (in December),” Singh said.
He also that the party had not seen such success under the leadership of any other individual at the state level and that Modi had certainly hit a new high in the BJP's history,
In his speech, Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel said, “The decision has not been taken (to project Modi as the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate). But every child wants it.” He added that every BJP worker was proud that the party had won again in Gujarat.
