Olympian Ram Singh Yadav, Binning Lyngkhoi (both injured) and steeplechaser Sudha Singh (unfit) will miss this Sunday's 3rd edition of the Rs 20 lakh-prize money Vasai-Virar Mayor's Marathon due to injuries, the race organisers announced yesterday.
A host of other athletes like defending champion Elam Singh, Ashish Singh, Arvind Kumar Yadav, 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games 10,000m silver medallist Kavita Raut and last year’s runner-up Monika Athare will be participating in the race.
The winner of the men’s full marathon will walk away with a winner’s purse of Rs 2 lakhs while the men’s and women’s half marathon winners will pocket a cool Rs 1 lakh.u00a0
