Ranji Trophy: Exciting final day on card for Mumbai

No kidding, Swapnali Yadav is a swimming phenomenon! The 11-year-old Mumbai lass experienced another high by winning the Sri Chinmoy Australian National Swim competition recently held in Canberra, Australia.

Earlier this year, she won the Kingdom Aquafest in Newport, USA before becoming the youngest ever to compete at the 2007 Open World Swimming Marathon and the 30km Messinikos Gulf Swim in 2008-09, both in Greece, as well as the 2009 Bermuda Round of the Sound Open Swimathon.

"The water in Australia was around 17 degrees, which is cold compared to Mumbai. I had to swim in an artificial lake, which is not easy as compared to the sea. I had to work hard to move forward," said Swapnali, who won gold and bronze in the under-20 and under-50 categories respectively.
