Kolkata: Bengal all-rounder Laxmi Ratan Shukla was yesterday ruled out for four to six weeks as the selectors made three changes for their Ranji Trophy home encounter against Rajasthan from October 15-18.

The former Bengal skipper Shukla is down with a ligament tear as he would take about four to six weeks to recuperate from the injury, a Bengal selector said.

Sayan Sekhar Mondal was drafted in place of Shukla, while Bengal will also be boosted by the return of opener Abhimanyu Easwaran who's back after recovering from an injury.

Easwaran will replace Abhishek Das, while Bengal selectors also made a third change bringing in uncapped left-arm spinner Pradipta Pramanik who's replaced seamer
Sourav Sarkar as it seems the hosts would bank on their seamers at Eden Gardens.

Rajasthan are coming from a humiliating loss to Assam in Guwahati, while Bengal rode on skipper Manoj Tiwary's century to earn a point in their drawn encounter in Karnataka.

Squad: Manoj Tiwary (c), Naved Ahmed, Sreevats Goswami, Parthasarati Bhattacharya, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Sudip Chatterjee, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Sayan Sekhar Mondol, Pankaj Shaw, Ashok Dinda, Veer Pratap Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Pradipta Pramanik, Pragyan Ojha, Amir Goni.
