Ranji Trophy: Mumbai in control against UP on Day 2

Half-centuries by Wasim Jaffer and Hiken Shah helped Mumbai reach 414 for nine at stumps against Uttar Pradesh on Day Two of the Ranji Trophy Elite Group A match played here yesterday.

Jaffer scored 55 off 104 balls, while Shah scored 56 off 114 balls. Resuming at 203 for three, night watchman Dhawal Kulkarni scored 38 before being removed by Imtiyaz Ahmed.

For UP, Ahmed was the peak of the bowlers with three wickets, while Bhuveneshwar Kumar, Piyush Chawla, Arish Alam took two wickets each.
