Earlier, St Paul’s striker Sahil Hate opened the scoring in the fourth minute of the match after receiving a pass from Ranson. Just when the Dadar outfit felt they were through, ANZA’s striker Kamran Ansari equalised in the dying moments of the match off a right-footed volley.

In the tie-breaker, Shivam Patkar, Ranson and Alistar Pereira were on target for St Paul’s, while Anas Ansari and Kamran Ansari found the net for ANZA.u00a0

Ranson dedicated the win to his late father, Simon, who passed away in 2006. “If my father was here he would have been proud of my performance today. He was my first coach. It was because of him I started playing football.” said Ranson, who wants to fulfil his father’s dream of playing for the country. “I want to grow up and fulfil his dream of playing for India,” he said.u00a0
