Ranveer Singh's sudden health woes gets 'Ram Leela' director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's schedule awry

Ranveer nixes Bhansali's grand plans

Ranveer Singh’s sudden health woes have sent Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s team running helter-skelter. The lavish plans of Bhansali to launch Ram Leela’s music were doused with cold water after Ranveer was hospitalised with dengue yesterday.

Bhansali, known to be a stickler for time, had to have his entire schedule altered to let Ranveer have enough time to recuperate. The unveiling of Ram Leela’s music was to take place tomorrow.

Says a source, “The launch was initially scheduled to be held on Sunday and the crew had prepared in advance for it. The invites were printed and Deepika Padukone was called in from Goa, where she has been shooting for her next project.”

The event has now been pushed back to October 3. Insiders say Bhansali was initially hoping to launch his film’s music as a tribute to his idol Lata Mangeshkar’s 84th birthday today.

“Bhansali admires Lataji a lot so he planned this event keeping in mind the special date. He asked his crew to organise a special performance for her though she was not expected to attend,” says a unit-hand.

The official spokesperson of the production house says, “Since our lead actor Ranveer took seriously ill, there was no question about proceeding with our music event. We will plan the event at a later day in the presence of the entire Ram Leela team.” u00a0
