Ready, steady, get flowin'

The fitness technique imported from the US might be the 15-minute workout solution you've been hoping for

Flowin is a workout technique that involves sliding exercises on a flat non-friction board. "It's a great option for a complete workout, especially to tone the abdominal and transverse muscles," says fitness trainer Leena Mogre, who has imported the technique from the US.

"Flowin increases dynamic flexibility, rather than just normal flexibility," adds Leena. But don't be fooled by the name Flowin. The regime requires considerable mind-over-muscle focus to maintain grip. "It's best for sports people and youngsters as it boosts concentration levels," says Leena, adding that it can be tried at any fitness level.

"Flowin can be fun and adds variety to a daily drill. Several of my clients who are bored of the usual cardio-weight-training-aerobics-power yoga regimen, look forward to it," says Leena.

Melroy Worlikar, who was among the few to receive Flowin training abroad, terms it as the best way for muscle toning and a totally "injury-proof" exercise method.

College student Rohit Bathija says, "I've been doing the Flowin exercises for a month now, and the exercises have helped me to tone my abs well. It makes for a great 15-minute workout and you feel really good at the end of it."
