Art gallery Tarq is showcasing Reliquaries: The Remembered Self, a two-person show featuring the recent works of Barcelona-based artist Rithika Merchant and Mumbai-based artist Suruchi Choksi. The exhibition delves on how we construct and envision our pasts, both collective and personal.

Choksi is showcasing distorted photographs printed on aluminium, as well as a six-channel video installation, where she explores how photographs can be a conductor of personal memory, and can narrate a story that has evolved over time.

Rithika Merchant

Merchant’s mosaic artworks build a mystical narrative and stress on feminism. The puzzle-like pieces require one to piece together a narrative and to question received histories that are available through culture.

Till: April 10, 11 am to 6 pm
At: Dhanraj Mahal, Apollo Bunder, Colaba.
